With the help of the NADE grant, our Association was able to continue the "Learn with She4She" Hungarian language course started in July 2023. With this support, not only did language teaching continue, but we also had the opportunity to incorporate a new program, the Hungarian Cultural Club, into the development of language skills.
Thus, our project had two pillars: Hungarian lessons and the Hungarian Cultural Club.
Hungarian language course.
Hungarian lessons continued to be implemented in the already established system and methods, with 16 active participants. Language classes were held in Budapest Helps! centre, free of charge and offered by UNHCR. We continued tailor-made learning with personalised learning materials, since there is no textbook on the market that fully satisfies the needs of language learners. The curriculum has been compiled and reproduced by the teacher and collected in the students' folder.
Our goal remained to acquire practical and usable vocabulary and grammar, on which communicative tasks and situations can be built.
The participants attended classes regularly, remained active, and the good-natured, cohesive little team continued to develop and strengthen. MKK ( Hungarian Culture Club) also played a major role in process. I feel that participants’ attachment to the Association has also increased
We managed to keep the planned 30 language lessons. From the grant, we were able to finance the hourly fees of the language teacher, babysitter and accountant, photocopying, printing and additional equipment.
